Shivam is a corporate lawyer with experience in advising on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, fund structuring, estate & succession planning, business setups and cross border transaction. In terms of the private client practice, he regularly advises on the structuring of intergenerational wealth transfers through private trusts and wills, the acquisition and bequest of assets, and family governance structures to prominent family offices, HNWIs, foreign clients, and their organisations. 

Shivam has experience structuring, formation, and documentation of onshore and offshore funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds, angel funds, master and feeder fund. Additionally, he assisted client in high value private equity deals, rules governing foreign investments, and general corporate and regulatory advice. He also has extensive expertise and understanding of regulatory concerns and has made several representations and applications to various regulatory authorities. 

Having been associated with the trusteeship and wealth management company from last few years, he brings ample experience to table in trusteeship, administration and management services for private trusts, investment trusts and alternative investment funds. As part of his corporate and compliance transactions experience, he was involved in various complex legal & tax transactions comprising an array of sectors. 

Shivam’s broad range of experience includes experience in capital markets, securities law, inbound and outbound investments, disinvestments, and corporate & commercial laws. He was involved in investment and diligence transactions in several industries, giving him in-depth familiarity with the legal frameworks that govern industries. He has advised and assisted various clients on various transactions including private equity, mergers and acquisitions, assets transfer and business transfer which transcends industries and practise areas. 

Additionally, he provides advice on onshore and offshore business setup, structuring, early-stage start-up requirements, contract management, and regulatory compliance. Shivam also has considerable experience in representing clients in various statutory authorities for white collar crimes such as insider trading, corporate fraud, and money laundering. Furthermore, he has advised various clients on acquisition of shares of listed companies in terms of Indian Takeover Code and Taxation Rules. 

Shivam holds Master of Business Laws from National Law School of India University, Bangalore (Mr. P.K. Das Memorial Medal for Best in Master of Business Laws (MBL) Programme). He is also a qualified Company Secretary and is an associate member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. Further, he studied Bachelor of Commerce from Satyawati College, University of Delhi and Bachelor of Laws from Indraprastha Law College.
